Policy
To ensure Karate Manitoba is in line with all other Canadian Provincial and Territorial Sport authorities in the sport of Karate, as well as various sports within the Province of Manitoba, and In order to ensure the safety of all our students and especially those under the age of 18.
Scope
Karate Manitoba requires all Provincial Coaches, Member and prospective club Instructors and Assistant Instructors 18 years of age and older to provide proof of a Criminal Records Check, as well as a Vulnerable Sector Check every four years. The results of same are to be submitted to the Karate Manitoba head office electronically at info@karatemb.ca or by mail to 145 Pacific Ave. together with your receipt of payment.
Process
Records checks may be done online at https://www.winnipeg.ca/police/pr/pic.stm or you may attend in person at the Winnipeg Police Headquarters at 245 Smith St., Winnipeg. If you reside outside of the city you can attend your local RCMP office or apply online.
If an instructor holds a valid Criminal Record Check performed within the last two years, a copy of said Certification will be accepted.
Members may submit completed Record Check and receipt of payment for full reimbursement of fee by Karate Manitoba.
